Funny thing about this postcard from Port Angeles, WA. Two or three months ago there was some giveaway and you could sign up to receive a postcard from there. So I did, I signed up – both for myself and for a friend of mine. And forgot all about it. :) Then yesterday I saw my friend posted the picture of the postcard she got on her Facebook profile, laughed a little and said “nope, it wasn’t me”. Later on I found the same postcard in my mailbox, wondered about it a little bit and then I remembered that giveaway. A nice surprise! :D
This is a map card of San Juan Islands, in state of Washington, USA. They are located between the US mainland and Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
I know many people go crazy about map cards. I only have three in my collection (this one, Canada and state of Nebraska) and although I think they’ re really pretty… I’m still not that nuts about them. :)
These two postcards also belong into “My Favorites” group, as I just really really love this kind of postcards. Aren’t they beautiful?? They are both showing the natural beauties of Washington state, USA.
This one is showing the setting sun at Second Beach on the Washington Coast (also a part of Olympic National Park).
The second one is showing the fog over Tatoosh Mountains.
