California, USA

I got these six postcards through a trade couple of years ago. They never got scanned before so I’m using this oportunity to upload them here.

I’m quite stunned to see how many people are there on this beach picture (third one on the left). I wonder how can anyone really enjoy going to the beach and trip over people whenever you try to do anything. O.o

Los Angeles by night. The lights look funny in this one. :)

The Hollywood sign – one of the typical LA views and probably one of the first things that cross everyone’s mind when someone says “Los Angeles”. :)

Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Apparently, the lights on the trees and little decorations are there because this is a Christmas shot of the street… but it doesn’t look that much like Christmas to me.

Anaheim, California. Actually, this postcard is showing the Adventure City, a theme park located in Anaheim.

RMS Queen Mary is a retired ocean liner that sailed primarily in the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard Line. Queen Mary was officially retired from service in 1967. She sailed to the port of Long Beach, California, United States, where she remains permanently moored. Much of her machinery including her propellers and boilers were removed, and the ship now serves as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, a museum, and hotel. The ship is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
